Aug. 18 is the primary election where voters will replace developer-funded Commissioner Sarah Arnold. She is not running for another term.
Arnold has approved 10,000+ homes and put 3 taxes on the ballot including a 15% sales tax increase that was voted down in a landslide.

I thought my days of protecting and serving were over, until I experienced the full impact of developer-controlled government. And I knew I had to get involved, to help protect our quality of life and the county we love.
Overdevelopment is the cause of our overcapacity roads and overcrowded schools countywide. We sit in traffic while our children sit in portable classrooms.
Two hours after she was sworn in, Sarah Arnold voted for 5600 homes for a Hutson Companies development; she has deep financial and personal ties to that developer - one of the largest in NE Florida. It’s time to put residents first.
Endorsed By Commissioners Krista Joseph & Ann Taylor
I am honored to be endorsed by two warriors for St. Johns County: Commissioners Krista Joseph and Ann Taylor. They’ve put it all on the line to keep their campaign promises to you, and I will do the same. If I am elected and Commissioner Joseph is re-elected, you will finally have control over our county's growth. The three of us will comprise a majority on the Board of County Commissioners.

Questions & Answers
How do we know you’ll do what you say?
I’ve already begun doing it. On March 5, I went to Tallahassee to appear before a Senate committee to oppose SB 354 which would fast-track the development of 35,000 acres of land in our county. Senator Pizzo voiced agreement with one of my arguments. The next day, the bill was postponed, but it will be back next year. Will my opponent fight it? Not if her major funder’s 14,000+ acres can be developed because of the bill. The day after I advocated for you in Tallahassee, Commissioner Sarah Arnold announced she has a second job. Her new employer lists the leading law firm for local developers as a client. I will work full time for you. First Coast News interviewed me about SB 354 here.
How can you run for District 2 commissioner if you live in District 5?
Florida law allows any qualified county candidate to be elected to any district commission seat so long as they reside in the district where they seek office by the November election. I will move to nearby District 2 with my family in August, allowing my children to finish their school year. Making this move is how strongly I believe that residents, not developers, should have the majority representation on the Board.
How long have you lived in St. Johns County?
We moved here from where I was last stationed for the FBI (Hawaii) - four years ago. I medically retired from the FBI due to injuries, and we sought to escape the oppressive Covid regulations by moving to the free state of Florida - selecting St. Johns County for its top-ranked schools. Unlike the three long-time Floridians on the Board of County Commissioners, I am independent of developer ties and relationships, and I will take no developer donations. How do you pronounce your name?
My name is of Ukrainian descent, and it's pronounced pish-chih-MOO-kah. You'll have no problem finding it on the ballot!
Have you always been a Republican?
Yes, and I've always voted Republican. However, when I was pursuing my federal law enforcement career and during my employment as an FBI agent, Air Marshal and SWAT team operator, in an abundance of caution, I chose to use no social media, and to publicly disclose no party affiliation. So that's how I registered to vote. Since I retired from the FBI, I have been registered Republican. My political views are an important part of who I am. We’re blessed to live in beautiful St. Johns County. But it’s up to us to protect it and our quality of life.
